Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 10, 2026

Overview

Hermes Calendar ("the app") is a personal automation assistant operated by Wilson Hailey ("the operator") for his own use. This policy describes what Google user data the app accesses, why, and how it is handled.

Data accessed

With explicit authorization from the operator's Google account, the app may access:

Access is limited to the operator's own Google account (wliered2010@gmail.com). The app is not offered to, and does not collect data from, any other user.

How data is used

Data is used only to perform tasks the operator initiates: managing email, maintaining a personal calendar, and organizing files and documents. A copy of calendar events is stored on the operator's own server hardware ("homelab") located in Austin, TX, so the family calendar remains available on the local network.

Data sharing

No user data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties. The app does not display advertising and does not use data for any kind of profiling or targeting.

Data retention and security

Data is retained only as long as needed for the operator's personal use and can be deleted at any time. Communication with Google services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access tokens are stored on the operator's private servers.

Control and revocation

The operator can review and revoke the app's access at any time via the Google Account permissions page. Revoking access immediately stops all data access.
